About Dr. Arek Yetenekian (he/him)

Dr. Yetenekian is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY33507) with over 10 years of clinical experience. Dr. Yetenekian is thoroughly experienced working with a variety of populations, across a wide variety of settings, including outpatient therapy, community mental health clinics, inpatient drug treatment centers, and child behavioral service providers. 

Having worked with individuals across many age groups, Dr. Yetenekian has a strong interest in human development across the lifespan. As a first generation Armenian-American, he has an affinity for the acculturation process, an interest in the effects of shared experiences within an ethnic group, and insight regarding cross-generational trauma. He also has a very strong interest in learning about and experiencing the uniqueness of the world’s cultures. He brings forth an accepting, person-centered approach to therapy, and is additionally trained in more specific skills, such as CBT, mindfulness and acceptance, assessment and evaluation, and meditation. 

Dr. Yetenekian joyfully welcomes and affirms clients from all perspectives. He looks forward to meeting people from any race, ethnicity, age, neurotypical/neurodivergent status, gender and sexuality, economic/social class, or immigration status.
