About Dr. Meghan Fagundes
Dr. Fagundes is a licensed clinical psychologist(PSY31947), licensed marriage and family therapist, and clinical supervisor with nearly 15 years of clinical experience. Dr. Fagundes graduated from Alliant International University with a doctorate (2019) and master’s (2013) in Clinical Psychology and an emphasis in Multicultural and International Psychology. Prior to that, Dr. Fagundes also earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University (2009) and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego (2002).
Dr. Fagundes specializes in providing therapy to those seeking to heal from trauma, as well as those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and chronic mental health issues. Her professional experience includes working with active duty military, the LGBTQIA+ community, teens, sexually abusive youth, and victims of crime, among many others. She has worked in many different settings, including non-profit community mental health, private hospital, residential treatment, and forensics.
In the pursuit of cultural humility and lifelong learning, Dr. Fagundes has traveled extensively and has studied Clinical Psychology in India, Italy, and Mexico. She has been an activist in the social justice community for many years and feels strongly that therapy is not just a process of facilitating growth and change, but of empowering others to discover their own fulfillment, joy, and strength.
