Sabah Awar (she/they)
Sabah Awar is a doctoral student at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2018, and her MA in Clinical Psychology in 2021 from Alliant International University. She has six years of experience in psychology including three years of clinical experience. She specializes in psychodynamic, self psychology, multicultural, and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapies. Sabah has extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients as well as neurodivergent individuals and additionally has experience in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, OCD, PTSD, complex trauma, adjustment difficulties, and life stressors. Sabah's background as a queer Middle Eastern neurodivergent individual informs her focuses in therapy, including cultural humility, client autonomy, trauma-informed care, and collaborative care. Sabah is a predoctoral fellow/psychological associate ( PSB94026965 ) supervised by Dr. Grace Ning (PSY27293).
